7 Best Places to Stay in London for Business

by Leave a Comment

London has something to offer to each traveller, thanks to its vibrant nightlife, exciting history, and beautiful architecture. The city is pretty large and comprises different neighbourhoods, making it necessary to find luxury short let apartments in London before your arrival.

For a business traveller, the challenge lies in knowing where to look. Read on to learn more.

1. Central London

If you’re in a hurry, you’re better off staying in Central London, more so in or around Covent Garden. Staying in this area means you can quickly get around by walking or using public transportation. Additionally, it also means you’ll get to remain close to all the important attractions.

2. St. James

Parents and kids alike will love staying in this area of London. Finding a place to stay in this neighbourhood means you’ll be close to Buckingham Palace and three royal parks (St. James Park, Green Park, and Hyde Park) in London. St. James is perfect for those travelling with kids.

3. Mayfield

Mayfield, just like Covent Garden, is centrally located, making it an ideal place for a luxury visitor on their first London visit. The neighbourhood is close to anything you may want to do or see and has tons of shopping centres and restaurants located within a short walking distance.

4. Bloomsbury And Fitzrovia

They’re situated to the north of Oxford Street and are best for individuals looking for a more refined London experience. These two quiet districts are home to numerous London historic colleges, including the British Museum. They feature cobbled streets, Georgian mansions, and leafy garden squares.

5. Southbank

Southbank is the best neighbourhood for sightseeing. It provides the luxury traveller with quick access to big attractions such as London, London Eye, The Shard, and Tate Modern. In addition, you can walk around the neighbourhood in the evenings after a long day spent negotiating business terms in the board room.

6. Westminster

It’s the place where you’ll find beautiful architecture and plenty of pubs and cafes. Westminster is home to Trafalgar Square, meaning you won’t get bored easily. Choosing to stay in this neighbourhood means you’ll be close to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. The area has a rich history and is commonly referred to as the ‘political centre.’ Its neighbourhoods are unforgettable, and you should have a good time here during your visit.

7. Chelsea

If you like mingling with locals during your travels, make it a point to steer away from areas overrun by tourists—Londoners know the Chelsea neighbourhood to be a posh place filled with restaurants and high-end boutiques. Your options include watching plays at the Royal Court Theatre or seeing an art exhibition at the local gallery. At night, you can visit the many pubs lining King’s Road.

Conclusion

There are plenty of neighbourhoods to choose from when visiting London. However, make sure to select a district that’s centrally located to guarantee you quick access to your meetings during the day and sightseeing locations in the evenings. The seven neighbourhoods listed above should serve you well.
