Bank fees – why we have them

A lot of people are under the impression that bank fees should not happen, because their money is going into the bank and they earn interest on any credit balance, there are people that believe that there should be no fees attached to transactions or services offered by the bank.

Banks are businesses just like Walmart or your telephone company. They need to be able to keep their branches operating as well as pay their employees, plus the services like mobile applications, internet banking and ATM’s all cost money to provide convenience to you, the clients. Without bank fees the branches would be few and far between with minimal staff and all the conveniences we have come to love will be memories or very unreliable!

If you having problems with your bank fees, speak to your bank and find out how you can mange your account to minimize the amount of fees you land up paying out on a monthly basis, or look for a bank that offers cheaper fees for the services you use on a regular basis.
