Finance Girl is about me, Julie, and my experiences and forays in investing, saving and making money. I started this blog as a way of documenting my journey and while I’ve always been pretty frugal, it’s only recently that I’ve been proactive about learning more on personal finance and money matters in general. This blog will cover various topical finance related news and topics that I find useful or interesting.
Who am I?
I’m a freelance web type person from Manchester, UK. I trade Forex (FX) sporadically as a part-time hobby with hopes that it’ll become a full-time profession one day. Always looking at different ways to grow my finances including alternative investments and savings ideas, such as peer to peer lending, crowdfunding projects, etc. Currently working as project manager on various projects at The Robert Street Hub, which I love! Based in Cheetham Hill where we provide a collaborative workspace for freelancers, startups and small businesses.
I own a cat called Mr. Pancake and we live in sunny Levenshulme, Manchester. Besides my mortgage (and student loan), I am fortunately debt free and have many savings and investment goals which I hope to share with you on my blog.
The posts I write and share on this blog is purely for informational and entertainment purposes and I am not, nor claim to be a financial expert of any kind. Please make your own decisions on what to do with your own finances as advice that is effective for one person may not be suitable for another as our financial (and personal) circumstances are all so different.
