The Meating Room, Levenshulme

by Leave a Comment

As a relatively new resident to Levenshulme, it is always exciting to see new local and independent eateries open in the area adding to the existing mix of varied and culturally diverse food options available. The Meating Room, located at 948 Stockport Road (by the grocers) has been in business for almost a year and I have frequented it for just as long, so this post is long overdue.

Serving grilled cheese, ‘build your own’ gourmet burgers, and a selection of buttermilk fried chicken - all served with homemade slaw and pickles - you can complete your meal with a selection of thick shakes, mocktails, and loaded fries (the parmesan and garlic butter fries are to die for). These are much loved classics, with a modern twist.

The price is affordable, with the average meal costing around £6-8, it’s been an almost weekly (guilty) treat for me :-)

If you’re calorie conscious, this probably isn’t the place for you. However, the amenable staff are always happy to create healthier options without sacrificing taste - bunless burgers, grilled (instead of fried) chicken, salad instead of fries, you get the idea.

They’re also available for delivery on UberEats and Just Eat.

A selection of what The Meating Room have to offer, plus options to fully customise!

If you’re not a fan of bread, why not opt for the pulled beef, ribeye steak, buttermilk chicken ‘bunless bun’?
On a bit of a healthy(ish) kick, ask for grilled chicken, ribeye steak on a bed of avocado salad
Parmesan fries with garlic butter (topped with cheese and caramelised onions). If you’re going to try just one thing, it has to be this
