There is always a risk that the most popular innovation is going to land up becoming a huge white elephant, and this is what the Apple iTunes store seems to be at this point in time. Younger people are interested in having the latest singles, and although 99c is not a lot of money to pay for that single, there are a lot of other music streaming facilities available which are compatible with smart phones and therefore more affordable and convenient for the music lover.
From an out dated website to a variety of products that distract from music, the iTunes store is no longer the first stop for music. Will Apple iTunes be able to bounce back or will the demand for legitimate music move to more affordable providers?
