Cut your own hair – there are many boys that have shaved heads, and for girls it might take a little practice but you could trim your own hair.
Powdered milk instead of fresh – although powdered milk does not taste as creamy as fresh milk, for breakfast, cooking and drinks like tea or coffee powdered milk is a perfect cheaper option. Just be careful when baking as it might change the results of the recipe.
Magic number 99 – do not buy any meat or produce which costs more than 99cents a pound.
Coupons of love – when it comes to gifting, instead of spending loads of cash you do not have on items which might not be appreciated, make your own coupons and give them to loved ones. Coupon ideas include back rubs, washing dishes, walking dogs etc.
Get Crafty – Instead of decorating your home with shop bought items over the holidays, take out the craft items and make your own decorations.
Save pet hair – after brushing your pets, instead of throwing the hair away, save it for your crafts.
Stock up on free items – the packets of ketchup, sugar, napkins, pens, anything that is free make sure you take an extra few every time you can.
Free Car Wash – while you fill up the tank with gas, take the windscreen squeegee, and wash your car.
After all saving money is important in today’s economy, and maybe you find that some of the ideas given are not that over the top after all.
