A survey was recently conducted by NS&I who revealed that more than half of the British population is not prepared financially for their old age. Although the survey also revealed that a lot of Britons are concerned about their old age and how they are going to cope financially, they do not know what steps to take to ensure that they have money available to them. Even more disturbing is that people are not prepared to consult with financial advisers for assistance with their financial planning for the future. The results of the survey and more details on the percentage of Britons in each category can be read on AOL Money. Remember that it is important to start planning early for your financial security in your old age, the later you leave your planning the more money you would need to allocate towards it and the harder it is to achieve financial security in your old age.
