Who can’t afford McDonalds

During the global recession McDonalds managed to keep its clientele more than other large fast food companies, mostly because of their dollar deals, now that the recession is nearly over McDonalds has found that people are not as eager to stop off and buy a dollar meal or anything that they could cook at home.

The article on The Washington Post also notes that other fast food chains and sit down restaurants are gaining in popularity as people would rather spend a little more to sit back and relax and get a healthier meal than drive to McDonalds.

Another big part of the McDonalds returns for last year is the chicken scare in China and other problems within Asia as the article detailed.

McDonalds is not going to collapse, it is simply interesting to note that consumers are changing their habits as the recession comes to an end.

I must admit I don’t go to MacDonalds much these days (although I did drive through for a McFlurry a few weeks ago). The only reason I don’t go is because I’m often trying to eat healthier. I still think it’s as cheap as chips!
