The recent news of the death of Margaret Thatcher has been globally announced for the last few days, and condolences have been pouring in from every corner of the globe to her family and friends.

While thinking about Thatcher, a fan would refer to her as the Iron Lady while someone who despised her strategy to improve the UK economy would call her Milk Snatcher it is important to remember how she made a stand and did what she felt was best to improve the economy in the UK with her tax hikes.

There have been other presidents in our time that have also chosen to increase tax rates in an attempt to improve the economy of a country, the post from Businessweek.com has been an interesting read on the reasons behind the famous tax hikes implemented by Margaret Thatcher.
