Running for debt and charity

by Leave a Comment

Every year there are hundreds of grad students who finish their studies and face the debt that they have accumulated during their studies.  A lot of people get stuck between denial, anger, depression and bargaining when it comes to their student debts, those that accept their debts usually resort to working multiple jobs, renting out spare rooms and moving back in with mom and dad so that every spare penny can go towards paying the debt off.

Another innovative way of paying off your student debt is to raise the money for your debt by doing something different.  Jason Kasher is a 23 year old grad student with $30,000 worth of student debts and his innovative way to raise funds is to run 1,000 miles across country with people sponsoring him through his website Paidtorun.com where individuals can donate money towards his goal and companies can use him as a mobile advert.

Jason has been working on preparing his body for the race and is set to raise enough money to pay off his student debts and contribute to two charities.

This is truly inspirational to people who have student debt or any debt, so put on your thinking cap and come up with an innovative way to raise the funds you need to become debt free.
