Protecting your property against the winter weather

by 1 Comment

If you’re a landlord, or own a property, the following infographic by Direct Line for Business will provide very useful information on ways to protect and prevent your home from unexpected harsh winter weather that we often are unprepared for in the UK. According to the Association of British Insurers, there were 3,500 claims made each day for damage caused by frozen pipes during the winter of 2011!

Some landlords can be ignorant about such preventions,. or simply away that their properties are old and would cost more to properly insulate that it would be to get new tennants (losing money over the period of transition). I lived in a student house in Derby whereby the landlord was stubborn to even take notice of the fact that were were all frozen over winter.
