A recent study found that an astounding $90bn per year is from organized crime in East Asia, with China being the most popular for fake goods. Organized crime between countries is not only illegal, it is crippling to the legitimate businesses within the countries that are trying to secure themselves in the industry and add to the country economy.

The article on Al Jazeera has suggested that governments from around the globe work together and form friendships to combat the organized crime that is taking place across their borders. It would be great if crime syndicates can be halted and the business can be returned to legitimate companies as this would improve the economy and make countries safer in general.
