Learn to play an instrument without breaking the bank

by 1 Comment

Whether your child has expressed a desire to learn to play the piano or you are following your dream of learning to play the guitar, you do not have to settle for the high prices that tutors charge!

Here are a few ways to consider getting the lessons you need.

Internet – The internet offers a variety of resources, including lessons for the budding musician. From books to videos to DVDs you can buy.

College Majors – A college student that is majoring in your instrument of choice will be happy to earn some money while sharing their basic knowledge and their passion for playing the instrument.

Beginner Classes – Some universities offer beginner classes for a fraction of the price that a private tutor charges.

Community centers – There might be groups at your community center that offer lessons to a small group of people for a nominal fee or for free, some even have instruments available so you do not have to lay out money for our own straight away.

Learning to play an instrument is a lot of fun, whether is it a passing phase or grows into your passion, it is a skill you will never regret having.

I used to play the clarinet in school but I gave it up and have now forgotten most of what I learned! I’d love to learn piano one day though. Some great tips here on how to keep the cost down!
