In the world of fake how do you spot the real?

In this day and age of technology there are a lot more imposters around than there used to be years ago, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to separate the truth from the fake.  Whether you are looking at the amount of friends or followers on Facebook and Twitter or for faux fur items in the latest fashions you are being bamboozled by fake.
