Fuel sales have dropped

Recent statistics released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders indicate that fuel sales have dropped by 9.3% since 2007.

Does this mean that people are resorting to public transport or walking?  Hardly, it is because more and more people are opting for more energy efficient vehicles as they are more economical to keep on the road!

As motorists trend towards more economical vehicles not only is it impacting the motorist on a monthly basis, by spending less money on fuel there is more money for other necessities, it is also impacting the global green environmentalists as less fuel used is less carbon emissions which are damaging to the environment.

The article I read notes that the down side of the drop in fuel sales is that the demand for the commodities will increase as countries go into global economic recovery which will push the price on the stock market up.
