Beat the charges with this pre-MOT checklist

by Leave a Comment

We all dread our MOT. Most of us send our cars in for their tests already anticipating a huge bill at the end of an inevitable failure to pass, but this need not be the case. This handy infographic designed by Motorparks should be your go-to guide in the build up to your MOT, as it highlights all the important areas to keep an eye on, what problems are most likely to trip you up on the day and how best to resolve them in advance of your vehicle’s test, so that you can enter it with confidence. By keeping on top of any arising issues before they escalate into something more serious, you will greatly reduce the risk of incurring any particularly nasty costs.

From maintaining more technical inner workings like the brakes, to basic day-to-day tasks like topping up the car’s fluids and ensuring good tyre pressure; by simply being that little bit more conscious as to what exactly a garage is looking for during an MOT, you can successfully pre-empt them and save yourself any unnecessary stress and expense. Plus, let’s be honest, we’d all secretly relish the smug feeling of passing first time :)
