Amazon recently sent a letter to their regular clientele and removed the option on their website for UK clients to receive free delivery on items which cost less than ten pounds. The article on The Guardian explains why Amazon has made the changes to their free delivery.
There are ways to overcome these charges, like purchasing items which do not qualify for free delivery along with items that do qualify for free delivery. Although times are tough it is understandable that Amazon does need to charge for items which only cost a couple of pound to be delivered as delivery charges of cheap items do eat into profits.
